A program of the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children®

Corporate Representative

UofPWelcome to the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s web page for corporate representatives. The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children is a very special part of Bright Horizons that allows us to share the magic of childhood with families in crisis. Through the Foundation, we strive to extend the reach of our knowledge and commitment far beyond the walls of our centers, schools, and programs to at-risk children, youth, and families in our communities.

We support a range of programs that serve children and families through volunteers, grants, and resources. Our signature program, Bright Spaces®, creates and supports play rooms that brighten the lives of children and families in crisis, and serves more than 100,000 children a year.

What is a Bright Space?

Bright Spaces are warm, enriching play spaces in shelters and community agencies where children, youth, and families in crisis can learn, heal, and play together. They are created through partnerships with the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children®, corporate partners or other financial sponsors, community agencies; and Bright Horizons early childhood volunteers from our parent company’s centers, schools, or departments.

Drug rehab familyWhy are Bright Spaces important?

One in 30 children in America each year is homeless. Bright Spaces help shelters and other agencies create a special place where trauma-impacted children and families can receive the services that can help them heal. Our goal is to mitigate the negative effects of trauma experienced by homeless children or other children affected by crisis.

How Can You Help?

Your organization can financially sponsor a Bright Space in your community or throughout your organizational footprint and use the project as an opportunity for your employees to volunteer.

Or you can provide program funding to meet the needs of existing Bright Spaces such as:

  • Bright Space parenting resources to make a lasting impact on children and families.
  • Underwrite new educational opportunities for children after school.
  • Refresh an existing Bright Space, or host a collection drive for needed supplies
