The YWCA Interim House in Detroit opens a new Bright Space

January 4, 2018

The YWCA Interim House in Detroit now has a second new Bright Space! The room will be used as a place for the women and children to relax and bond. They set up a Smart TV, rocking chair, children’s cozy corner with blankets, pillows, and books, and a large sectional. There are about 30 children there at a time that will use the space, between the ages of infant-12. This is not the first Bright Space at the YWCA, they also have one downstairs to accommodate the older children. Thank you to Megan Badgero and her team, Tricia Wilcox from Whimsical Witt LLC, as well as Brent Recore, who did all of the construction, for making this new space possible! Check out the amazing before and after pictures below.
