Volunteers Impact Hundreds of Children in Boston Area
Bright Horizons employees know how to give back. Recently, around 70 volunteers from the Watertown, MA, Bright Horizons office went to Cradles to Crayons to volunteer. The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children also presented a $1,000 Gleason Grant to Cradles to Crayons in recognition of these volunteers’ work.
“Through your service at two shifts in the Giving Factory, in just four hours, the Bright Horizons team’s efforts will impact more than 350 children,” said Susan Adler, Director of Corporate Relations for Cradles to Crayons. “The very generous funding will help us to keep another 30 children warm this winter. The terrific items you collected will impact another 125 children. Your combined efforts (service, financial support, and product collection) will help more than 500 children to have the essentials they need to thrive!”
“We so appreciate the Bright Horizons groups serving with us,” says Susan, “and supporting our efforts to help children in need.”
Cradles to Crayons is a nonprofit that provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. They have locations in Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago.
