Teaching Strategies Joins Bright Horizons in Matching Funds for Hurricane Sandy Donations

This Bright Horizons center was damaged by Hurricane Sandy and is still closed.

Even though more than a week has gone by, things are not even close to back to normal for many people who were affected by Hurricane Sandy. There are still people without homes, people in homes without power, and shelter agencies running out of resources fast.

As you know, through the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, we created the Hurricane Sandy Children’s Fund and Bright Horizons will match all contributions to the fund up to $25,000. We are very excited to announce that Teaching Strategies, who we partner with for curriculum assessments, will extend that match another $25,000 – up to $50,000!

The Foundation will distribute the money collected to local relief organizations that support children and families as well as our Bright Space partners in the affected areas. If you are interested in making a donation (e.g., individual, center/nursery/department/ fundraiser, etc.,) either click here or send a check made out to the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children noting that the donation is for the Hurricane Sandy Children’s Fund.

Donations by check can be sent to:
