Teaching Children Living in Poverty is Special Challenge at Bright Spaces
The May/June issue of Child Care Information Exchange features an article, “An Informed Approach for Teaching Children Who are Living with Poverty,” by Ileen Henderson, National Director of Bright Spaces for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
The article is a part of the Impact of Poverty series in CCIE’s Professional Development Workshop and talks about the impact toxic stress such as homelessness, poverty, or abuse, can have on the physical development of a child’s brain.
