New Bright Space® opens in Renton, WA
We are excited to announce the opening of a new Bright Space® in Renton, WA, at the REACH Center of Hope. The Center is a day center and night shelter for homeless families and single women.
The Bright Space has opened with the support of centers Bright Horizons at Longacres, Bright Horizons at Centerpoint, and Bright Horizons at Building Blocks. Special thanks to Center Directors Dawn Kim, Shelia Harris, and Sherri Thatcher who worked with the agency to create a Bright Space in the Children’s area.
Director and Bright Space Connector Dawn Kim said, “Personally, I chose to partner with this space due to the fact that I knew someone that it was impacting. A single mother and her two children that I used to work with were at the center during one of our visits. It really hit closely to home how a space like this can have a huge impact on the community around where you work and live.” The Bright Space will give the children and their mothers a place to relax and interact while receiving services provided by the agency.
