Making a Difference: Racing Toward a Brighter Future
Exciting things are happening at the Foundation because of people like you and people like employee Melissa de Paz, Education Coordinator at Bright Horizons at Westchester Executive Park in New York. Melissa has long been passionate about the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children® and has hosted and participated in several Walk Ons, bakes sales, etc.
That’s why when her brother, a founding member of NDP Motorsports and avid car-racer wanted his racing company to support a nonprofit, she immediately thought of us. Earlier in March they had their first race of the season at the Pirelli World Challenge and took second place!
NDP Motorsports is raising money to cross the finish line and make their dreams come true while also making a positive change in the lives of children and families. Race for A Dream is NDP Motorsports’ first fundraising event supporting the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children. In addition to raising awareness for children in crisis within the United States,10% of all donations made to Race for a Dream will be donated to the Foundation to create Bright Spaces.
The next race is in Toronto on May 15-17. It will be livestreamed on World Challenge TV the day of the race and will be broadcast on CBS Sports on May 24 at 5 p.m. Eastern.
We are always looking for creative ways for our employees to bring awareness and engagement to your Foundation. Thanks to Melissa and NPD, the Foundation is a winner, too!
