Jinky Espinoza Receives Founders Grant
Jinky did a 9-month internship with JPC from September 2009 to May 2010 while pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and continued to volunteer once her internship was complete.
She has been helping with their expressive arts program and finds it very heartwarming to see children with disabilities such as autism, down syndrome and cerebral palsy, open up and be creative. She feels so privileged to be part of a group that fosters feelings of pride and accomplishment for children with developmental disabilities.
The Founders Grants Program provides general operating grants up to $5,000 to nonprofit organizations that serve at-risk children age 17 years and under, with an emphasis on the early education years of children ages 0-6. The application is reviewed each quarter by the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children grants committee.
