Gary O’Neil Named President of the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children
Gary O’Neil will expand his role with the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children as the new President. He has served on the Foundation’s Board for 15 years, the last 9 as Board Chair, a position he will also retain. Gary will lead the development of the Foundation’s strategy, provide oversight of programmatic execution, and refine and enhance the Foundation’s programs.
“The Foundation brings to life a core component of Bright Horizon’s mission – to ‘make a difference in the communities where we live and work’,” said Bright Horizons CEO Stephen Kramer. “Under Gary’s leadership, the next chapter of the Foundation will be focused on offering new and expanded ways for employees to deepen their connection to Bright Horizons and the communities where we live and work. It will also leverage Gary’s personal passion for our mission and helping children and families in crisis.”
As SVP of Employee Engagement for Bright Horizons and President of the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, Gary will be bringing under one umbrella work that he is personally passionate about and is a critical driver of the Bright Horizons mission and culture.
“I care deeply about the Foundation’s work with children and families in crisis,” said Gary. “I’m looking forward to working with the Foundation team to deepen the impact of the Foundation and position it as an essential element of Bright Horizons’ employee engagement efforts.”
Gary has been with Bright Horizons for 19 years, and, along with his family, has opened two Bright Spaces at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children in memory of his late mother-in-law.
