Employees Use Professional Development Day Activities to Make a Difference for McAllen
On Saturday, May 18, Bright Horizons Houston, JPMC West Houston, JPMC Downtown Houston, JPMC San Antonio, and the Houston subpool held their bi-annual Professional Development Day. In addition to FUNdraising for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children with a Walk On and raffle, the teams decided to do a Brightening Lives Activity collection drive to support our Bright Space at the Humanitarian Respite Center in McAllen.
Travel size hygiene products were set out so that staff could assemble kits. More than 200 kits were put together! Employees had a great time working together to make a difference for children and families.
YOU CAN HELP TOO
The situation at our Border is still critical. Our partner, the Humanitarian Respite Center in McAllen, TX, tells us they are seeing an overwhelming 400-600 people a DAY pass through the shelter.
The Respite Center is in urgent need of items such as backpacks, children’s clothing, and other basic necessities.
