Director Jennifer Hohl Receives Gleason Grant for Comfort Zone Camps
Please join us in congratulating Jennifer Hohl, Director of Bright Horizons at Mountain Lakes, for being honored with a Gleason Grant. Comfort Zone Camps will receive a check for $500 in her name. CZC is a bereavement camp for children 5-17 who have suffered the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. All campers are paired one to one with their own individual mentor or Big Buddy, with the Big’s role being to support the camper in every way and to listen and support their healing process. Jennifer is honored to be a part of the work they do and said that she could hardly wait when she was chosen to volunteer at a camp for them earlier this month. She says that it is a truly amazing experience to work with these kids and to be let into their lives this way. She is continually impressed by the incredible work they do each camp and the raw honesty with which they lend themselves to their own, and to others’ healing.
Our special thanks to Diane Trister Dodge, Founder of Teaching Strategies, a member of the Bright Horizons Education Advisory Board and a friend of the Foundation. Her generous donation in honor of retired Foundation President, Dave Gleason, supports the Gleason Grant Program.
