Bright Space® Opens in Royal Palm Beach, FL

August 14, 2019

We are thrilled to announce the opening of a new Bright Space in Royal Palm Beach, FL, for Grandma’s Place. Grandma’s Place is an emergency shelter for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect, but it also provides a Family Support Program for caregivers of young children, 12 and younger, with special needs.

This is a unique Bright Space because it is set up to be a sensory room, and will provide a safe, calming place for children to play. Thanks to centers in Regions 3A and 3E who supported this Bright Space through FUNdraising events.

Special thanks to Cherise Hylton, Director at Bright Horizons at Boca Raton, and Elizabeth Borecki, Director at Bright Horizons at Coconut Creek, who were project leads on the Bright Space and will continue to support it through their relationship to the agency as Connector volunteers.
