Bethany Whitemyer, Director, Honored with Founders’ Grant

September 27, 2012

Bethany Whitemyer, Director of Bright Horizons at Pembroke, MA, was recently honored with a Founder’s Grant. The Gear Up for Winter program of Cradles to Crayons in Brighton, MA will receive a check for $5,000 in her name.

Bethany says that working with Cradles to Crayons has been a great experience for her, her staff, and the families at their center. She has coordinated several product drives for Cradles to Crayons, and volunteered with coworkers and her own family in their “Giving Factory” warehouse.

Bethany’s center and 26 other Bright Horizons centers in the Boston-metro area are currently collecting essential items (clothing, shoes, books, developmental toys, winter coats, and more) for local children that are served by Cradles to Crayons.

Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth to age 12, living in low- income and homeless situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. We supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities that have with communities that need.
